Bukit Aup: Miring Hut
This is the hut where the iban does the miring ceremony. The chickens and eggs, besides being eaten as food, are compulsory offering items in the Iban's "Miring" or traditional offering and thanksgiving ceremony.
The hole in the middle of the hut is for pouring tuak which is meant for the "gods".
Aerial view of how the "piring" is being arranged. Hole in the middle is for pouring tuak or sometimes coins or other valuable.
