These are navigational markers are found and seen along the Rejang river, especially along the Tanjong Manis- Sarikei route.
As seen from certain angle, the markers look like these. These markers are also equipted with navigational lights which are powered by solar panels.

even i have doubts in some signs.but nobody knows the answer may be we should ask the concern officials.
I can say for sure, but they look like the sort of navigational markers that you line up to see if you are in the channel. e.g. If the top triangle is pointing at the bottom triangle, your okay.

If not you need to move to get them to line up.
Hi, there are many things in Sarawak which are unique, and not found elsewhere in West Malaysia. One is the flying doctor service - not sure if it's still in service.
I miss those days ...might go back there some day for a visit.
