It was raining for almost 24 hours the day before and the water level was rising fast. This pic was taken at about 1730 on Thursday. At noon the water level was about 5 feet lower.
This morning, at about 0730 hrs, this is how the water level looks like and the flow was fast. If today, no rain recorded from the upper reaches of Rajang and Balleh, the water level will drops. By estimate, this water will reach Sibu within the next 24 hours or so.The Sarawak Government Almanac recorded that the next King Tide will occur from 7 February to 14 February 2009. The high water level will climb from 5.5m to 6.2m and stays at that level for 3 days (10-12.02.09)
I won't be in Sibu.......but then i could imagine.

Living in Sibu is like a nightmare now. We can never predict when there will be flood
Already flooded last night gone this morning. The flood is like a yoyo - up down up down up down... LOL!!!

i feel horrible.cos flood is not only in here.but in ur place too.some alterations should be made for those people.i pray to god that something should happen for the gud of the people.
It is very difficult experiencing flood and I hope it won't happen again.
